TeliApp Helps Morrison Technologies Give Back to Community Through Summer Entrepreneurship Program
This summer, Morrison Technologies Community Services, a subsidiary of Morrison Technologies, hosted high school students from Newark and Jersey City in their Summer Technology & Entrepreneurship Program (STEP), which explores the connections between technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation with students. Students worked together to seek solutions to real-world problems and learned how to integrate technology with entrepreneurship. They learned to create, market and pitch their business ideas in a pitch competition. The presentations were judged by Gerald Lyons (Jersey City Board Education), Alexander Morrison (Morrison Technologies) and Joshua Weiss (TeliApp’s CEO). The program also featured guest entrepreneurs, including Anthony Frasier from ABF Creative & Newark Venture Capital, Kevin Chu from Greater Newark Enterprises Corp, Joshua Weiss from our very own TeliApp, Gary Minkoff from the Department of Management & Global Business Rutgers Business School and many others. NJ Tech Weekly’s Esther Surden released an article about the program, which can be found here.
